Bathroom improvements
Bathroom repairs and practical updates, with a bespoke washstand made from an old enamel school sink and pine dresser.

The work
Following the installation of new pipework and radiators, this bathroom needed making good. I first removed the old corner sink and tiles, prepared the floor and replaced rotten sections. The floorboards were sanded and finished with Polyx-Oil, and the pipework was carefully boxed in.
I fitted a bespoke washstand made from an old enamel school sink and pine dresser, with a Victorian-style tap and new connecting pipework. The work also included tiling behind the sink, the installation of four IP-rated downlights, an IP-rated pull switch, painting, custom oak shelves, shelving in an existing opening, and the hanging mirrors and pictures.
Finishes
- White Dulux Trade Diamond Eggshell (woodwork)
- Polished Pebble Dulux Easycare Washable & Tough Matt (walls)
- Osmo Polyx-Oil Matt 3062 (floor)
