The work
After the installation of a heat pump, and a large connected hot water cylinder inside, improvements were needed to reconfigure the layout of this galley kitchen and make good. First new energy efficient spotlights were installed, and the old central light removed.
The old sink and unit were removed, and new water and waste plumbing installed. Electrical sockets were moved. A bespoke sub frame was fitted at each side, to accommodate a new 27mm prime oak work top. The worktop was cut to receive an under mount sink and a new electric hob. The worktop was sanded and finished with a quality top oil. A new brushed chrome tap was fitted.
Then I built a new sub frame around the cylinder and made bespoke removable doors. I then made unit doors from mdf. These were cut, prepared and painted using a shellac undercoat and oil based top coat. These were fitted with quality door hinges. Cast iron door handles were waxed then fitted. To finish, tiling was added with chrome edging.
